Over the course of the 2015-2016 school year, the Hopewell PRIDE Team developed a system of supports for defining student behavioral expectations, acknowledging appropriate student behaviors, and correcting inappropriate student behaviors. The mission of PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) at Hopewell is to provide effective, individualized interventions and promote positive learning for all students.
School-Wide PBIS Tiers of Intervention
School-wide PBIS uses discipline data to identify patterns of inappropriate student behavior and develop effective interventions to support the success of all students. These interventions are tailored to students' strengths and needs and progress from universal interventions (Tier One) to group interventions (Tier Two) to individual interventions (Tier Three).
